The gasharlkit.tar.gz archive contains a bunch of ancillary makefiles, scripts, and what-not that we use to integrate Ganymede running the gasharl schema kit into our environment, including the code that updates our DNS, NIS, and NT network maps/zones/whatever. It's here mostly for curiosity's sake.. I've tried to put some documentation for it all in place, but I expect it's mostly enough for you to get an idea of what a complex, jury-rigged system we're running here. It all works well for us, and if you feel ambitious and think it's a good idea to work with this stuff, be my guest, but understand that all of this is not incorporated into the official Ganymede releases for a reason. You'll have to do some puzzling through all of this stuff to see how it works, and you'll need to do a good bit of work if you have a lot of data to get into the gasharl kit, but there are more than a few nice bits in all of this. As always, if you have questions on this stuff, the ganymede discussion list at ganymede@arlut.utexas.edu is the best place, just so all the mail gets archived for posterity's sake.
